Vi startade i den orkesterledda processionen fr\u00e5n Kungstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rden med fem personer, Gillet-skylten och Dalslandsfanan. Precis efter starten ansl\u00f6t en sj\u00e4tte dalsl\u00e4nning, minimalt f\u00f6rsenad. Stora \u00e5sk\u00e5darskaror visade oss h\u00f6r- och synbar uppskattning d\u00e4r vi gick mellan en grupp officerare och ett g\u00e4ng poliser, b\u00e5da med n\u00e5gra pensions\u00e5r p\u00e5 nacken. Strax efter Djurg\u00e5rdsbron ansl\u00f6t ytterligare fem dalslandsv\u00e4nner och den svenska fanan. Polisveteranerna bakom oss k\u00e4nde igen en av v\u00e5ra nytillkomna och v\u00e4lkomnade honom att g\u00e5 \u00e4ven i deras grupp. God st\u00e4mning i ledet, allts\u00e5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00e4l framme vid Solliden delades vi raskt i tv\u00e5 kategorier, fan- och skyltb\u00e4rare resp. \u00f6vriga. Vi som h\u00e4nvisades till platsen f\u00f6r fanborgen hade framf\u00f6r oss tv\u00e5 timmar av stillast\u00e5ende, emellan\u00e5t avbrutet av flaggexercis, inte med den b\u00e4sta vinkeln mot scenen. \u00d6vriga tilldelades bra sittplatser med god sikt mot h\u00e4ndelserna och bra h\u00f6gtalarljud. (Detta n\u00e4mnt som ett tips till alla som vill delta n\u00e4sta \u00e5r.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Programmet beh\u00f6ver knappast refereras. L\u00e4sare av dessa rader torde ha sett det i TV.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Det k\u00e4ndes bra att exponera Gillet i det kluster av offentlighet och civilsamh\u00e4lle som deltar i firandet. N\u00e4r kungafamiljen, talmannen, \u00d6B, alla partiledare utom en, ett antal regeringsmedlemmar, landsh\u00f6vdingar och andra h\u00f6gdjur samlas p\u00e5 en liten solbelyst yta k\u00e4nns det som ett koncentrat av nationen som man bara kan f\u00f6rh\u00e5lla sig positivt till.
